Join hands with anti-bullying organizations to protect your kids

Great efforts have been made on individual and community levels to find a solution to curtail the beast called bullying in schools and outside. However, in a bid to find an answer to how to prevent bullying, several researchers have sought help from anti-bullying organizations. These organizations are adept in designing anti-bullying programs and work with parents and school administrations to prevent bullying, harassment and violence among the students.

Following is the list of anti-bullying programs and organizations that have helped to create awareness and find solutions to prevent bullying.

BullySafe USA – Train the Trainer Institute

This institute follows the approach of “for people, by people”. The organization tests and trains people from the community to work with students on various levels to engage and empower them to fight against bullying. To date, over three hundred people have been trained by this organization under the program of BullySafe USA. These people are working in their community and helping parents, school administrations and law enforcing authorities in Arizona, California, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and West Virginia.

Champions against bullying

The purpose of this organization is to strive towards a society where children can thrive in an environment free of fear, violence, harassment and bullying. For this purpose, the organization has created a program called, “The No Nonsense Guide to Kid’s Bullying Solutions”. This program is specifically designed to spread awareness among parents and teach them how to protect their kids’ from bullying.

The organization works with collaboration with school management to help educate parents, teachers and students about bullying and reduce the level of violence in school and society.

Committee for children

This organization has a global outreach in over 25,000 schools in 21 countries. Committee for children’s main purpose is to develop social and emotional development among children through education and advocacy.

The organization regularly develops programs and curriculum for schools and child services organizations about bullying, sexual abuse and violence of students from preschool to high school.

LIFT – Linking the interests of families and teachers

This organization has adopted a two-pronged approach by helping parents and school management to protect kids from harassment and violence, while making efforts to prevent development of aggressive and antisocial behaviors in children that may lead to bullying and violence.

LIFT creates programs that educate and train teachers and parents to detect aggressive behavior among kids and find proper solutions to prevent them to become bullies in future.
